Tornado Cash Ruling Continues to Shape Sanctions Policy Debate

US courts have continued to grapple with the fallout of decisions concerning the Office of Foreign Assets Control's designation of the Tornado Cash smart contracts. A previous appellate ruling narrowed the scope of what OFAC can designate as sanctioned property under existing statutes.
