Solana Foundation Publishes Post-Mortem on Recent Congestion Episode
Engineers detail the fixes rolled out after a period of severe congestion earlier in the year affected user transactions.

The Solana Foundation has published a detailed post-mortem covering a recent congestion episode that led to elevated failed-transaction rates. The document credits the introduction of prioritisation fees, improvements to QUIC-based networking and stake-weighted quality of service as the main mitigations.
Since the fixes were rolled out, failed-transaction ratios have fallen substantially according to the Foundation's own metrics and third-party dashboards. Engineers cautioned that further work is needed to fully absorb spikes in demand during high-volume memecoin events.
The document also outlines governance-level changes intended to speed up coordination between core client teams and application developers during incidents.
