Singapore MAS Grants Additional Digital Payment Token Licences

The Monetary Authority of Singapore has continued to grant Digital Payment Token licences under the Payment Services Act to additional global crypto firms. Recent additions include several exchanges and stablecoin issuers with established regional operations.

MAS has publicly framed its licensing regime as deliberately selective, with particular attention paid to anti-money-laundering controls, technology risk management and the segregation of customer assets. Retail-facing marketing remains tightly constrained.

Singapore continues to compete with Hong Kong, Dubai and various European jurisdictions for the operational hubs of major digital asset firms.
