Layer-2 Networks See Record Transaction Volume
Combined daily transactions across major rollups surpassed 20 million, outpacing Ethereum mainnet for the fourteenth week running.

Combined daily transaction counts across major Ethereum rollups have surpassed 20 million, according to data from L2Beat and Growthepie. Base, Arbitrum One and Optimism together account for the bulk of that activity, with newer entrants such as Blast, Scroll and zkSync Era contributing meaningful shares.
The shift has firmly established rollups as the primary execution environment for most Ethereum users. Layer-2 networks have now processed more daily transactions than mainnet for a stretch of consecutive weeks, a milestone that would have been difficult to imagine two years ago.
Total value locked has grown more slowly than transaction counts, reflecting a user base that skews toward smaller trade sizes and consumer applications rather than large capital deployments.
