Fee Compression Continues Across Spot Crypto ETFs

Issuers of US-listed spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs have continued to compete on fees, according to prospectus updates and issuer disclosures. Headline fees on the largest funds sit well below traditional commodity ETF benchmarks, particularly after accounting for launch-period fee waivers.

The pattern has echoed the broader trend in ETF markets, in which scale and distribution advantages tend to accrue to the largest issuers, leaving smaller funds to compete primarily on fees.

Advisers report that fee comparisons have moved from a marketing detail to a routine part of investor onboarding conversations.
