EigenLayer TVL Stabilises After Airdrop Cooldown

Total value restaked on EigenLayer, measured in dollar terms, has stabilised in the mid-teens of billions after retreating from the peaks that preceded the EIGEN token airdrop. The plateau follows several months of consolidation across the wider liquid restaking sector.

Actively validated services built on top of EigenLayer, including EigenDA, have gone into production and are beginning to generate real fee flows, though the amounts remain small relative to the underlying restaked capital. Operator sets continue to grow, with major staking-as-a-service providers all participating.

Ethereum researchers led by Vitalik Buterin have continued to warn that restaking should not be used in ways that reintroduce social consensus disputes to the base layer, a debate that has shaped protocol governance decisions.
