Ark Invest chief executive Cathie Wood reiterated the firm's long-term bull case for Bitcoin during a research call this week, pointing to institutional adoption, corporate treasury demand and use as a global reserve asset as core pillars of the thesis.
Ark's Big Ideas research has previously modelled scenarios in which Bitcoin trades well into six-figure territory over a multi-year horizon under aggressive assumptions. Wood emphasised that these are scenario analyses rather than price forecasts.
Critics have noted that Ark's actively managed funds have significantly underperformed passive benchmarks over recent years, though the firm's spot Bitcoin ETF partnership with 21Shares has been a bright spot in terms of assets and fee revenue.
